With the fourth installment in a series of chronologies documenting the day-to-day performance activities of trumpeter-bandleader Maynard Ferguson and his orchestra, the years 1965 through 1967 are addressed. This was a period of major events: the dissolution of his full-time big band and the formation of a sextet, a move from the east to the west coast, featured participation in the Expo 67 world’s fair, and finally a transatlantic trip from America to England that began with a tour and ended up lasting years.
